Rain Soothes My Soul

Rainy days and almost summer? I do like the summer but it gets really hot here and by the end I will be yearning for the rain. How many 112* days can you take? So I wanted to share this with you prior to getting into full swing of summer. Here is my first attempt at a slide show. I took pictures from start to finish and put them together. I used a spray bottle with water to create the drip affects for the backgrounds. Recycled paint scraps and cut the dress and umbrella from it. Then I used dictionary pages for her body and face painting them. I kept this mixed media piece pretty simple. The quote is "Rain showers my spirit and waters my soul. " ~Emily Logan Decens~ And now I am finding my way with technology. I want to do more ~Let me know how you like it.

But you know he is going to be a superstar!



All ready all the video's he has made other than small time pre idol one's are being pulled off by the owners such as Twentieth Century Fox Corporation off of You Tube and elsewhere!

Maybe losing was a good thing for him. He won't be bound for a year by American Idol and all their terms.

I don't by any means think his losing is a good-bye but more like a hello.

Congratulations to him and his varied style. He is a true performer!

I learned how to make pies and bake from my
grandma.

If I could capture more time

Time is passing so quickly these days and today there is another sign of that. My youngest daughter Samantha is turning 7 years old today! Such excitement and anticipation for what that will bring you can see it in her eyes. I struggle with time. Time passing, time management, lost time, past times and.... What I should be doing verses what I want to be doing. I am really trying to be more in the moment lately! Hoping that will help me on my journey with time. I have been working on a painting inspired by roses from my garden. Snip its until done. So until next time....Have a lovely day.

Blogging is like a modern day version of a message in a bottle.















When you create a post and send it off into the web it is as if you have put a message in a bottle and sent it to sea for someone to find.

































You want your message to be found and read by others although you may be hesitant sharing your written word, visual work or feelings.

When someone does find your message it is like they are peeking into your soul.




The greatest gift to a blogger is to see our message sent yet again to another, sharing our inspiration and passions.

For us to receive comments on our posts of how we have touched someone is like having the message in the bottle found, our message read and understood.
