Woman with a Parasol - Madame Monet and Her Son, 1875
Collection of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Mellon
What I love about being an artist is being inspired by art history. Claude Monet captured a moment in time with this painting just as if it was a photograph being taken. Somehow with the onset of spring I am longing to feel the wind, sit under a parasol and have a paintbrush in my hand. Maybe I will have to try and create a painting with a parasol, as I am truly inspired ~
Thoughts come clearly while one walks. ~Thomas Mann
You have to have an idea of what you are going to do, but it should be a vague idea. ~Pablo Picasso
