Faeries, come take me out of this dull world,
For I would ride with you upon the wind,
Run on the top of the dishevelled tide,
And dance upon the mountains like a flame.
~William Butler Yeats, "The Land of Heart's Desire,"
These first two photos are taken prior to waxing~
These pictures are after waxing. Waxing gives the painting a warm hue~
The kitten is actually a card you can pull out~
Wax seals the painting ~
Details of the background~
Fairy -One of a class of elemental beings. usually associated with gardens and plants
Faerie - Archaic spelling of fairy
I adore your faerie painting and I agree the waxed finish is awesome. I will have to learn to do that. I have so much to learn!
