Flower Photography

Today is cold and gray as the clouds have blown in. I will paint while remembering the colors from nature that inspire my canvas today~ These photographs are from just before the frost, the blooms and greenery that graced my yard have since died.
What will you be doing on your cold, winters day? What inspires you when its cold and gloomy outside?

  1. Hi Theresa! So lovely to visit you today and what a surprise to see the pretty flowers when it is cold, gray and gloomy even here in SoCal! It seems many of us are already anxiously awaiting the color and warmth of spring.

Your work is always a glorious pleasure to visit and take in. Even the the places you feature in the sidebar take me on such wonderful little side trips.

Hope the new year brings you everything you wish for!

  3. What absolutely beautiful photography!! How can these not inspire you! Everything has been gray here for a very long time--I just go to my art room and play with color.

  5. Photography is not my forte...but you have the gift. These photos are beautiful and I especially like the first one. On cold and grey days here in Canada (there are quite a few), I like to make a hot cup of coffee and listen to my music while I paint my little heart out. I get so inspired by going to the local bookstore and I scout out the latest decor and art magazines. This is an ideal day for me! Happy day to you and wishing you tons of inspiration! xo

  6. Your beautiful flower photos are a delight to view!
What feels good to me on dark dreary days is reading with a cup of tea by my side.
    What a simple blessing.
